Mechmech

On a fractured limestone hill, built among a forest of low rise oak trees, the large villa is treated as if every room was one house of village. This villa-village approach allowed to subdivide the built masses until a scale that leave the forest the main element on site was reached. The small elements have the tectonic of a village and their expression is simplified to the maximum: either a face if fully stone or it is fully glazed. Every tree on site has been surveyed and named, in order to ensure each one will be carefully treated, as if a person.
